Stop Trying to Fit in: “Live Your Life as You”

Why fit in when you were born to stand out?

Life is too short to waste any amount of time wondering what other people think about you. In the first place, if they had better things going on in their lives they wouldn’t have the time to sit around and talk about you. C Joy Bell once said, “What is important to me is not other’s people opinion of me, but what’s important to me is my opinion of myself.” Trying to fit in with others and conform to societal expectations can lead to a lack of fulfillment and personal growth. It’s important to be true to yourself and strive to become the best version of yourself rather than trying to fit into a mold that doesn’t fit who you truly are.

Remember, that being yourself is a lifelong journey. Take some time to reflect on what is truly important to you in life. What are the things you value the most? Once you have identified your values use them as a guide for making decisions and living your life. Recognize that you are a unique individual with your own strengths and weakness. Try to embrace these qualities and celebrate what makes you happy. Love yourself just as you are, and accept yourself for what you are, flaws, and all. Also, learn to say no to the things that don’t align with your values or goal. Set boundaries and stick to them, even if it means to disappointing others. Seek out people who support and encourage you to be yourself and avoid those who try to change you or bring you down. Make yourself a priority.

In crux, you are the only one who can live your life, so make it the best by being true to yourself. As Life is a one-time offer only.
